Incredible rise from the hulks <br>a classic tale of rags to riches that has waited 176 years to be told.
            <p>Like Abel Magwitch in <i>Great Expectations</i> by Charles Dickens, it involves a convict from a prison hulk on the River Thames who made his fortune in Australia.</p>
            <p>The story has come to light after the online publication 
of the prison hulk records of about 200,000 convicts released by the
