If you google “post-mortem changes
triglycerides” there are a number of findings, several of which state that
there are quite large increases in trigs in the immediate PM period.
But as I said in my earlier
post, a fibrate would be preferable to a statin.

Subject: Triglycerides Post-mortem.
Dear Mail Base,
We have been asked by a coroner to measure triglycerides
post-mortem. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge regarding how to
interpret triglyceride levels around 2-4 days post-mortem? What happens to
trigs post-mortem?
Any advice gratefully received.
Many Thanks,
Owen.
