Hi Patrick,

Yes, I do serum paraoxonase (correct spelling, PON1), which is in fact
an HDL-associated enzyme (£26.00 per assay if anyone is interested).

Paraoxonase activity is indeed induced by organophosphate ingestion
(as far as I can tell). It's activity is reduced by smoking and by
poor diet (e.g. poor fresh fruit and veg ingestion, which we assess by
measuring serum lutein). Doubtless there are also genetic factors at
work.

I could send your friend the method if he would like to see it.
