Hello,
I find a complete femur of a Strigidae in a swiss Neolithic lake dwelling site. This bone seems to present a size between Strix aluco and Bubo bubo. (Lmax:74.7; DAPP:7.9; DTD: cf13.2)I think it could be a Strix uralensis femur.
Does anyone have some metrical data for these three species and especially for femur of Strix uralensis?
