oops! I have put some more photos up with a scale. They are about 17mm in diameter and 35mm in length. They are very dense and quite heavy for their size
thanks
Sheryl
Hi Sheryl, there doesn't seem to be a scale, what size are they? if 30mm or so thick do they feel heavy? ie maybe manatee?

Hi everyone, I was hoping that someone might recognise these bones that are from a site in New Guinea.
They have the texture and structure of turtle bones but do not fit within the turtle skeleton. I think that they are possibly ribs based on their cylindrical shape? One of the bones (which might not be visible in the photos) is flat on one side.
