CIRCULATED ON REQUEST - APOLOGIES FOR ANY CROSS-POSTING Associate Professor, Addiction Studies Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Centre Eastern Health Clinical School Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences • Leading international university • Innovative and creative environment • Fitzroy The Opportunity Monash is seeking an outstanding candidate to be responsible for expanding the extent of alcohol and drug education offered to students across the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, as well as contributing to the development of clinical practice, research collaborations and the conduct of research at Turning Point Alcohol and Drug Centre. The appointee will be expected to: establish mechanisms that increase the extent of alcohol and drug content provided in undergraduate and postgraduate courses across the Faculty; foster and promote research; play an active role in the enhancement of academic standards and the development of curriculum; and provide leadership and direction for Addictions across the Faculty. The successful candidate will have: a research doctorate in a discipline relevant to addiction; an international reputation for outstanding research; a record of obtaining external grants for research; proven excellence in teaching; and highly developed skills of leadership, networking and management. The University may consider applicants for appointment at senior lecturer level. Candidates for appointment at that level are also encouraged to apply. The appointment will be for an initial period of five years. The Benefits Remuneration package: $127,303 - $140,243 pa Level D (includes employer superannuation of 17%) This role is a full-time position, however flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
