A PhD position is available at LET’S (Laboratory of Electrophysiology for Translational neuroScience, http://www.istc.cnr.it/lets/), leaded by Franca Tecchio, at Dipartimento di Neuroscienze Cliniche,  Ospedale Fatebenefratelli, Isola Tiberina, Rome, Italy. Work in the lab focuses on key movement controllers and feedback mechanisms for hand sensorimotor control in physiological conditions and in diseases supporting development of enriched therapeutic interventions (robotic or neuromodulation in stroke, multiple sclerosis, depression, Alzheimer disease) and cerebral source identification from electro- and magneto-encephalographic recordings (EEG, MEG) with Blind Source Separation methods.


Master degree is required in one of the following fields:

Electronic Engineering; Biomedical Engineering; Computer Science; Physics.

 

Potential candidate should have :

1 interests in the above mentioned LET’S themes;

2 knowledge of principles of signal theory and processing;

3 ability to use MatLab and willingness to develop innovative algorithms.

 

Candidate examination will take place on November 10 and 11 regarding a neuroimaging technique which the candidate considers relevant for neuroscience advances.
