Dear colleagues,
We are delighted to confirm that the Higher Education Academy's Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES) will run in 2011. Following feedback from institutions and in response to the increased interest in the postgraduate learning experience across the UK HE sector, we are pleased to be able to offer PTES in 2011 to allow institutions the opportunity to gather information on their taught postgraduates' experiences for a third consecutive year. This will ensure that students in cohorts that would have fallen between survey years will have the opportunity to feed back on their experience, as well as enable institutions to gather longitudinal data that more accurately reflects the experiences of their taught postgraduates.
PTES 2011 will take place over a flexible survey period between February and May 2011, alongside the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) 2011 which will run in a fixed survey period in Spring 2011. We will provide more details and invite institutions to formally register participation in September 2010; to express your institution's in principle interest in participating in the meantime please email us at [log in to unmask]
We will continue to provide support throughout 2011 to institutions in using previous years' survey results to enhance their provision by running events, providing resources, and facilitating institutions in sharing and discussing practice.
We are very pleased to be able to respond to the increasing interest in the postgraduate experience by offering PTES 2011, and look forward to working with you over the coming year.
Kind regards,
Helen
On behalf of the postgraduate surveys team.
