Dear colleagues,

Just over a month ago I posted a request for information on how survey
data (in particular the NSS) is used within institutions to support
professional development / enhancement of learning and teaching. I had
some really interesting responses and am keen to get a few more examples
so I can build up a clearer picture of the various models of activity in
this area. I'm not just interested in innovative approaches but would
also like to understand better how the process works in general.

I am interested in exploring the various pathways for NSS data, the
route it takes from the processing stage, how results are presented to
departments and how academic staff are supported in using student data
for the enhancement of learning and teaching. So do let me know how you
do it in your institution!

I will share my findings on this list, via Educational Developments and
through a SEDA/HEA workshop. All responses will be treated entirely
confidentially and any quotes used publicly will be anonymised. I look
forward to hearing your perspectives.

Thanks very much for your help,

Helen
