Subject: [PSCI-COM] About psci-com gateway and psci-com list

Dear All

I thought it might be useful to clarify a couple of points that arose
from the discussion about capturing useful information.

The psci-com gateway and psci-com list shared a name, an administrator,
and their origin (about 12 years ago) in the former Wellcome Trust
Information Service, now part of the Wellcome Library - but they are
otherwise independent of each other.

The psci-com web gateway is no longer being developed, so we couldn't
use it to create a shared resource. (It currently remains part of the
Intute site at http://www.intute.ac.uk/pscicom/
<http://www.intute.ac.uk/pscicom/> . Funding for Intute has been
significantly reduced, from July this year, and no new sites are being
added. The Intute site will be maintained for another year, but access
is uncertain after July 2011. Please see
http://www.intute.ac.uk/faq.html
ntute.ac.uk/faq.html> for details.) Selected content from the gateway
has been added to the Wellcome Library catalogue.

The psci-com mailing list website on Jiscmail
(https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A0=PSCI-COM
<https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/webadmin?A0=PSCI-COM> ) hosts the
message archives back to 1998. You can search the archives (with the
advanced search option) by search string, subject field, email address
and date.

Best wishes

Elizabeth
