Does anyone have any information that might suggest why the University of Leicester Special Collections has a number of boxes of offprints and other material relating to EN (Percy) da Costa Andrade?
The only hint of a link to the university that they contain relates to a visit to Woolsthorpe by a group including Edgar Adrian (then PRS) and Andrade. Adrian was later the chancellor of Leicester, but this link seems very tenuous!
The boxes have some interesting material relating to Andrade's interests in history of science from the 1940s. Special Collections is hoping to list them soon, and would like to know how they ended up in Leicester.
