medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture Dear Laura,

You can purchase a photography permit at SS Giovanni e Paolo, at the entrance; it was very inexpensive. Conditions: no flash, and no photos of the Bellini altarpiece; otherwise, it was all systems go. BUT, if you want to be safe, write them via http://www.basilicasantigiovanniepaolo.it/it/contatti.html

At San Marco they were very strict with me when I simply showed up with my camera, but I have never looked into pre-planning a photo shoot there.

Apologies for cross-posting...  does anyone know who to apply to for permission to take photographs in San Marco and SS Giovanni e Paolo in Venice?  Many thanks if you do.
