Connecting with Communities
Responding to changing community needs

Date: 9th September 2010
Time: 10:00 – 16:30
Venue: Church Street Library, 67-69 Church Street, London, NW8 8EU

The demographic profile of communities across the UK is changing faster than ever before. Every region of Britain has experienced significant migratory change. Patterns of migration are also very different from previous waves of migration to Britain, particularly with the enlargement of the European Union (EU). Isn't it time to think about how your organisation is responding to the needs of a changing community and think about what more it could do?  Find out what John Vincent one of the course trainers has said about the day from the news section on the Creating Capacity website.

Trainers:
Bill Bolloten is an independent education consultant who specialises in refugee and asylum seeker issues, particularly facing children, young people and adults. John Vincent coordinates The Network advocating the role of the cultural sector in social justice; disseminating information; and running practical training courses. He has worked in the public sector for many years, particularly with community-based library services.

Price: £135 + VAT per delegate. Cost includes all papers, lunch and refreshments.
