Hi all,

I have been asked to put together some information for the public re
information on health issues - for example media stories etc, and
basically how they assess their validity. I can tell them how to do this
on the internet, but how do I tell them which news stories to
believe...apart from "if it's the News of the World/Sunday Sport/Daily
Mail etc. take with a pinch of salt?!". I'm trying to cover every angle
and not everyone has easy access to the internet or local library to
double check these things, so apart from calling an NHS helpline has
anyone any other useful suggestions please ?

Hopeful thanks in advance

best
Barbara
