Hi Katie,

Just a couple of quick thoughts. I don’t know if any of the smaller scale (Miniscale, 1:250,000 colour raster) OS Opendata maps might be suitable:

http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/oswebsite/opendata/viewer/  and

https://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/opendatadownload/products.html

You can also obtain all the 1:50,000 scale contours through LandForm Panorama – available on OS Opendata too.

If you’re interested in an historic map showing relief - for example, the OS 1:1 million from the 1930s – this is freely available as a geo-referenced layer at: http://geo.nls.uk/maps/api/ We could supply the GeoTIFF (and scans of other historic maps), although not for free… Very happy to be contacted off list if you’d be interested in historic maps.

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows where I can hold of the above (for free)?

Any help welcomed!

Many thanks in advance,

Katie.

Apologies for cross-posting.
