Dear FISH colleagues
I'd just like to add my thanks to Ed and to all our
contributors for the discussions last week. I think that some very
interesting points were raised and discussed, and I'll be looking forward to
hearing what happens with the HEGEL project later in the year.
I'd also like to encourage FISH folk to use the list as a
resource for discussion and consultation - last week showed, once again, that
it's a great way to canvass opinion and allow people to contribute to a debate
(especially if straitened circumstances do not allow travel...!) If any
other FISH members have suggestions for topics for an e-conference type
discussion such as last week's, please let either myself or Kieron know.
Best wishes
Emma

Dear
colleagues,
My thanks to all of
you who contributed to last weeks discussion of the proposed grey literature
standard, or who listened in and posted their thoughts to me
off-line. Thanks also to Kieron and Emma at FISH for the use of their
online forum. I would now like to close discussion here. Needless to say if
anyone would like to make further comment, they can contact me at the address
below.
The messages
posted will be accessible online, for the the next few years at least, in
the JISCmail system. You can view that most conveniently by visiting www.fish-forum.info and using the 'Recent
discussion' link. From there you will be able to search for messages in August
2010, or use 'HEGEL' as a search term.
As I mentioned last
week, I will take back a summary of responses here to the stakeholder
group. Once they have all had their opportunity to comment, in mid-September,
English Heritage will take a decision on where to commit resources for this
initiative. I'll report back to this list later in the year.
Best wishes and
thanks,
Ed
