Dear colleagues,

there are still a few places available for the executive seminar organised
by IDHEAP and the European Network of Excellence RECWOWE (the European
Union's Sixth Framework Programme on 'Reconciling Work and Welfare in
Europe') on the subject of:

*The coordination of social security schemes for working age people.
Integrating income protection and activation in European welfare states*

in Lausanne (Switzerland), on 30 September and 1 October 2010

RECWOWE Executive seminars provide advanced specialist training to
practitioners and policy-makers working in ministries of employment and
social affairs, trade unions, social partners, etc. Their objective is to
build bridges between the research and policy communities on the one hand,
and to foster exchanges among professionals from various European countries
on topical issues in social and employment policies on the other.

The seminar will gather among the best European experts who have extensively
researched and published on recent developments in the organisation of
European social security systems. The focus will be put on the recent wave
of reforms across Europe towards a greater integration of income protection
and activation, but the seminar will also provide insights into concomitant
changes, such as processes of decentralisation and marketisation.

Please note that the deadline for applications is *31 August 2010*. We would
also like to draw your attention to the fact that number of participants
will be limited to 25.

Additional information and the application form are available at
www.idheap.ch/coordination. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you
require additional information.

We’re looking forward to your registration.

Yours faithfully,

Giuliano Bonoli
