That's interesting.

Is there a difference between Ms Lindqvist, about whom most of us had forgotten, and her private web site, and Mr Mann and Youtube, a somewhat different web site?

To be fair, what are the chances that this was a publicity seeking hoax prepared for You've Been Made to Look a Total Fool?

The DP implications are interesting.

Assuming it was a private domestic CCTV then posting it on Youtube is fine

I saw the cctv on the news yesterday, but it didn't register (or maybe
they didn't say) how it had come into the public domain. Apparently it
was posted on Facebook in an attempt to identify the culprit

What's the Data Protection implications of this (as well as major news
channels running the clip before the lady was even interviewed by
police).

Is extra-judicial naming and shaming OK nowadays? (And the RSCPA only
say it *may* be an offence, so the lady must be presumed innocent, as is
the way in this country).
