Hi Simon,

I know your client has an iPhone already so that's the way to go in her case, but I just thought I'd mention Android too.

Mouse emulation can be done using RemoteDroid http://remotedroid.net nice video of set-up and use. It's free and open source. Haven't tried it myself. Must say I'm not sure why you wouldn't just use a USB trackpad instead.

There seem to be a few options for Android IR but I haven't investigated enough yet to comment. With GoogleTV on the horizon there are likely to be lots of Android tie-ins.

Go Android ! iPhone isn't the only choice.

Cheers
Gary

Hi Simon

We haven't yet used it in this way but I believe John Lewis is to start selling a Gear4 Unity remote to work with the iPhone later this year. Reported to have pre-stored and programmable capabilities too and expected to sell for around 80UKP.

Definitely looks interesting

Cheers,

Sue

Hi all.

Anyone used an iPhone/iPod for environmental control using something like RedEye?
