You would be best to contact the paternity testing labs as they do the risk calculations on very closely matched individuals and this is generally not an NHS funded activity. You can find any number of service providers if you google “paternity tests UK”.

 

However your patients may want some guidance which company to go to and they could try

Northgene in Newcastle since they are relatively close to York see:

Complement Genomics are also local in Sunderland but I’m not clear if they can offer sib testing which Northgene can do

Dear all

We have had an enquiry about DNA testing to determine if two people are indeed biological siblings.
Could anyone recommend a laboratory in the UK who may do this sort of testing? They are happy to pay for the tests.
