Dear All,
We have recently had a problem with a batch of contaminated paediatric EDTA tubes when measuring ammonia.
When we experienced problems previously, we ran a 'blank' sample from the same batch alongside each patient sample, but this practise was not continued routinely.
I was just wondering if other labs did/ didn't always run blanks for ammonia, in routine practise?
Those that do, what procedures do you follow?
Thanks in advance for any help,
Brian
