On Tuesday 27th July at 3.00pm, The Department of Primary Industries (DPI)
will be hosting a public forum on the topic of Systems Thinking: How to
tackle today's wicked problems.

The keynote speaker will be Dr. Angela Espinosa, (Scarborough Management
Centre, Hull University, United Kingdom).

Since 2002, Angela has been researching and teaching within the Scarborough
Management Centre of the Hull Business School and acting as its research
co-ordinator.  Her teaching areas include: systems thinking (including
holistic methodologies and methods), management of change, and business
technology management. Angela has co-edited several books, supervised
hundreds of MSc and PhD dissertations and published many papers on the
application of systems thinking and organisational cybernetics.

Angela is in Melbourne as a guest of DPI. The forum will be opened by
Richard Bolt, DPI Secretary and chaired by Graham Mitchell, DPI Chief
Scientist.

Professor Emeritus, Richard Bawden, (University of Western Sydney and
Michigan State University, USA), will share the podium with Dr. Espinosa to
provide an overview of 'Systems' foundations, their principles and the
implications of these in practice.

This event will be held in the Theatrette at 1 Spring Street, Melbourne.
There is no cost involved. The event will conclude at 5.30pm
