As others have suggested, I suspect that good colour perception is required for researchers (and most likely those in quality assurance/control too) in the cosmetics industry. The Ishihara test only will check for red/green deficiency whereas Farnsworth-Munsell D-15 / 100 Hue assesses the whole spectrum. This test uses 15 coloured discs which have to be matched as close as possible to the one before it so creating a sequence of colours/shades which is then plotted on a chart.
I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction. One our customers ( cosmetics) has just asked us to carry out shade testing on their research employees. I must admit I have never heard to this before and done an internet search with no avail. I would apprecaite if anyone from the list could provide me with further information
