There’s not many jobs for senior, qualified OHAs in my area (Birmingham) either – they all seem to be for OH providers who are just interested in the pounds and cramming as many people into ‘clinics’ as possible. They just want you to sit in front of a computer churning out reports without actually engaging with anyone or seeing a workplace. What is OH coming to??

Subject: Re: [OCC-HEALTH] Salaries and Jobs
I'd be happy to share my details of my OH income, if I had an OH job. However, there are very few jobs for doctors ( in my part of the country) on this mailing list.
Doctors jobs are advertised in a number of places, and the salaried jobs usually have the salaries in the advert.... The British Medical Journal, Pulse, GP Magazine all have adverts and I'm sure that Pulse and GP will give you access. I think the BMJ may not allow you access unless you are a member, but I suspect the RCN and your union may take a similar view if I wanted to browse their websites

Another morning, another email with a list of jobs in the inbox, yet I have to ask, why oh why do the salaries for nursing posts appear and yet those for our doctor colleagues are always blank?
Is this a secret society?
Are we likely to suffer trauma if we find out what they earn and compare that with our own income, and then compare roles and suffer a complete breakdown?
Are medics on such a huge salary that it can't be published on a job advert or is there some law prohibiting it?
Sadly this isn't a Friday funny, but i'm sure someone can make it into one
Have a great weekend all
