medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
I am constantly coming across references to "North African Sufism" and how it differed from "normal" Sufism in the Middle Ages but can not locate any sources that can explain this.  I would appreciate any suggestions for reading, thank you.
 
(Am I correct in thinking that there was a strong Berber influence in North African Sufism?)
