Dear colleagues, One of our staff has had a paper published in a high-ranking journal. Unfortunately they spelt her surname wrong. The journal has published a correction, but obviously what people citing her article will see is the incorrect spelling. One person has contacted her to ask how she would like the article to be cited. Has anyone come across this problem before? We have not found any guidance in our usual places for dealing with tricky citations. In the current climate there are obviously implications for the bibliometrics aspect of the research assessment if her surname is cited in a number of different ways. Your thoughts welcome.
