The trouble with these things is that they attract the braindead with an axe to grind. Have you read some of the other suggestions?? Unfortunately the government will probably listen - giving the NHS money to GPs - are they crazy? More golfing trips to Florida for them then under the pretence of education! I recently read a report that said that British people want Scandinavian level of public services for US levels of taxation. Too true. I don't have children. Why should I pay for other people's kids to go to school? I am willing to do so because I recognise that we ALL benefit from an educated population (even if successful outcomes seem to be sadly lacking in some cases).
