The obit particularly mentioned that his railway atlas arose out of work
he did for Sunset at Blandings Castle. Mentioned his earlier RSMS
position, but not specifically work for OS, other than his
superimposition of historical railway information onto one-inch OS maps
for the atlas.

As the obituary is in the Telegraph, there was presumably no room to
mention either his work on the OS or one of his more singular exploits,
elucidating the geography (topographic and railway) of Blandings Castle,
etc, for an appendix to P.G. Wodehouse's final (incomplete) novel,
Sunset at Blandings.

For those who may have missed it, I notice there was an obit in the
Telegraph yesterday for Col. Michael Cobb who became the oldest person
to be awarded a Ph.D. by Cambridge for his The railways of Great
Britain: a historical atlas
