Topics: Information regulatory framework, information infrastructure and access; information policy and governance; information superhighway; government activity on the Net; Information architecture and access to government information; high performance information communication infrastructure and its relation in creating an intellectually informed and creative society; community information networking, intellectual property rights; cataloging and classification, metadata / XML searching and retrieval, web content mapping, security issues, QA of web content, Ontology and the Semantic web; Open and global platform for access, networked community; digital community and collaboration; digital divide, informed citizenry; access to resources to support e-learning.
2. Internationalization of libraries and information

4. Research in libraries, information and society, research, education and training
Research trends; LIS education; access to resources to support e-learning; e-education, workforce development; role of professional bodies in training; continuing education; role of information and libraries in society; lifelong libraries; accreditation issues
Papers should focus on research and/or applications as well as highlighting novel practices and be of sufficient depth for a 15-20 minute presentation, with time for discussion. Papers will be reviewed by a panel comprising professionals, academicians and practitioners in the Asia-Pacific region. Authors must submit their papers latest by the
Guidelines for Full papers
20th of August 2010. The successful authors will be notified by 10 September 2010. The dateline for the submission of accepted amended papers for inclusion in the conference proceeding is 24 September 2010. All presenters are expected to attend the conference as paying participants; the organizing committee is not able to sponsor any participants.Prospective authors must submit their full paper in MSWord directly as an attached file through email by the 20th of August 2010. All proposals must be original and have not been presented or submitted for consideration elsewhere. The length of the full paper should normally be not more than 7000 words.
In writing the paper, prospective authors are encouraged to follow the Chicago Citation style. All papers must be in English.
