I have had the suggestion of Endsleigh, which would be helpful. Unfortunately their limit on their contents insurance for electrical items to take out of your room is £5000. I already insure £4000 of portable electrical equipment (health stuff), so £1000 is not enough to insure my DSA equipment too. Any suggestions welcomed - wish I had kept the names of the companies used by previous DSAs. ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: swift <[log in to unmask]> Date: 1 July 2010 14:28 Subject: Insuring DSA equipment To: "Discussion list for disabled students and their support staff." < [log in to unmask]> This is the first year I've been under the auspices of SFE. They have written to say that I should sort the insurance myself (both my old LEAs did this for you, either directly or by saying try company X or Y). Does anyone know of any companies that do offer insurance for a lot of educational electrical/specialist equipment out and about? (my contents insurance is maxed for this type of item due to the NHS nowadays asking for you to insure their loaned equipment). I know this is getting way ahead of actually receiving the equipment, but as it's for 09/10 I will need to use it as soon as I get it.
