Dear Allstat, 

CK Clinical are recruiting for a contract SAS Programmer to work for an initial 12 months with an established pharmaceutical company in the UK. Rates on offer are negotiable and can be discussed upon application.

The purpose of the role is to support the Biostatistics team by carrying out statistical programming work and providing statistical programming and validation support for both internal and external projects. You will also operate 
as an effective team member, demonstrating the ability to work efficiently and to a high standard within a clinical team environment.  

Main duties include:

* Providing statistical programming and validation support for analysis datasets, statistical tables, figures, listings, patient profiles, SAS transport files, Integrated Summaries of Safety (ISS), electronic submissions, related clinical trials and for other internal and external requests.
* Working with external vendors in order to develop or monitor the content and structure of SAS datasets
* Creating/maintaining robust software applications and macros using SAS and other computer language for general cross-project departmental standards.
* Developing and maintaining SOPs, SWPs and other related technical documents, providing input to the Database, CRF Development and providing feedback to the Data Management. 
* Providing input in developing statistical analysis plans, specifications of analysis datasets, validation plans, and other related documents and determining and researching SAS software upgrades and related system maintenance issues.
* Providing Statistical Support for the Statistician responsible for the study.

Interested applicants should hold experience in SAS programming within phase I-IV clinical trials in a pharmaceutical/CRO environment together with some project or people management experience in a pharmaceutical/CRO programming environment or demonstrated significant leadership of SAS programming activities. You will also have experience of CDISC compliant SDTM and ADaM data and experience of using SAS-Base, MACRO, STAT, GRAPH, ACCESS, within a Unix and/or Windows operating systems.
