Associate Research Fellow / Research Fellow (Medical Statistics)

Salary: £24,273 - £30,747 for Associate Research Fellow, £31,671 - £38,951 for Research Fellow.

Full-time/Fixed-term until 30th September 2012

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic researcher to provide statistical support for two National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) funded research projects, the National Collaborative Study of Lysosomal Storage Disorders (NCS-LSD) and the Collaboration for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care in the South West (PenCLAHRC).

Both projects are managed within the Institute for Health Services Research, part of the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry, which is widely regarded as the strongest of the new UK medical schools in terms of research performance.

The post represents the College’s commitment to increase and develop capacity in medical statistics. You  will carry out statistical analyses to describe patient trajectories and estimate treatment effects for lysosomal storage disorders. In addition, you will contribute to the design and delivery of studies identified as research priorities by local clinicians through PenCLAHRC.

You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and will have experience of undertaking statistical analysis.  A qualification at PhD level or evidence of PhD level outputs would be advantageous.    A Master’s degree would be desirable at Research Fellow level.

This will be a University of Exeter appointment, based at the Veysey Building in Exeter. Salary will be in the range of £24,273 - £30,747 for Associate Research Fellow, or £31,671 - £38,951 for Research Fellow.
