The Surgical Outcomes Research Unit (SOuRCe) is a multidisciplinary, not
for profit, academic research unit of the Sydney South West Health
Service and the University of Sydney dedicated to the advancement of
evidence-based surgical practice through the conduct of
outcomes-oriented surgical research. SOuRCe is located within Royal
Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH).

We are currently seek an enthusiastic, experienced and innovative Senior
Research Officer (Biostatistics) with a strong background and advanced
skills in statistics/ biostatistics to lead the design and application
of analysis strategies for a number of existing and new cancer surgery
research studies. The role will provide opportunities to excel in the
design, development and application of statistical analysis strategies
for complex trial and longitudinal outcome datasets, and provide input
into the design of future studies to improve surgical outcomes for
cancer patients. Continuing professional development and the development
of independent research interests and leadership within SOuRCe's broad
research programs will be actively encouraged.

 

The position is full time fixed term for two years subject to the
completion of a satisfactory probation period for new appointees with
the possibility of further offer of employment. Membership of a
University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of employment
for new appointees.


Remuneration package : a competitive remuneration package is available
(consisting of a base salary, leave loading and up to 17% employer's
contribution to superannuation).
