This brand new international postgraduate MSC program combines taught
modules in mathematics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, biophysical
chemistry, molecular biology, genetics and biotechnology with training
in research methods and an individual master project.

The aim of this Central European MSc program is to bridge the gap
between 'computer lab' and 'wet lab' experience and to educate the first
generation of 'hybrid experts' characterized by a profound practical
knowledge of both disciplines.

Mathematicians, statisticians, computer scientists and engineers with an
applied focus in the biosciences, as well as biologists, biochemists and
medical scientists with a strong background in computational techniques
are in great demand in the biotech and pharmaceutical industry, in
medical institutions, in the information technology business and in
academia.

The dedicated goal of the new curriculum MSc in Computational Life
Sciences is to provide candidates with a broad education in the
biosciences and the quantitative sciences plus those professional skills
required for a future orientated multinational career.

The Teaching Faculty is primarily based in Europe but also recruited
from USA and Canada. Its members are senior researchers and academic
teachers comprising personalities from outside academia such as research
and development-oriented organizations as well as the pharmaceutical and
biotech industry.

The MSc in Computational Life Sciences is a 5 semester part-time
program. The course structure has been designed with the needs of
students in full-time employment in mind.

Danube University Krems is Central Europe's leading provider of

is located in one of Europe's most beautiful cultural landscapes, the
Wachau region along the river Danube, 85 kilometers westward of
