Speaker presentations and participant feedback from the ‘Storing
Information in the Cloud’ Unconference which took place on 21 May 2010 in
Manchester are now available on Vimeo:

http://vimeo.com/disaberystwyth

Speakers were:

Steve Bailey (JISC) – ‘Jeez, what if the world isn’t flat after all’ –
Dealing with records management’s own game changer event

Paul Miller (Cloud of Data) – Information Security and Cloud Computing

Dai Davies (Brooke North LLP) – Legal issues in the cloud - still
outstanding due to editing

As an outcome of the unconference, we also made a working document
containing relevant literature on cloud computing and records and
information management available on Google Docs for general sharing and
collaboration:
https://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0AUMD4SCCg7uaZGRxczNybndfMTZjODM4bXhmNw&hl=en

Please feel free to add to the resource, if you feel we are missing an
important document.

The unconference was also tweeted live and the tweet archive is available
on Twapperkeeper:

We would like to thank all the speakers and participants for their
engagement with what we feel was a successful event!

The conference was run as part of a Society of Archivists (now ARA )
sponsored project examining operational, legal and security issues
relating to the storage of information in the cloud for access. Outcomes
of the project will be a report and a toolkit that will provide a set of
questions to guide information professionals with the outsourcing process
to the cloud environment.
