If the situation has resolved how can further clinical assessment be useful? I know that medicolegal reports offer retrospective opinions but cant see that this would be useful in this case
 
He had tennis elbow, he is stating its work related, it might/might not be. If he`s claiming doubtless will have been seen by a doctor/surgeon appointed by whichever solicitor
 
Personally - if I was going to the meeting would ask to see him for a review of the case before the meeting - I would want to know things like what Tx, how long did he have problems for etc
 
Whats the purpose of the meeting - are you expected to contribute? personally I would go but state from outset that you have no implicit knowledge of the case and treat it as an information gathering exercise

Hi List,

I’m not familiar with individual but updated myself on OH notes.......employee taking claim out due to work activated affecting/et elbow ? diagnosis tennis elbow by GP. No med report, little info regards assessment on OH file.

No known injury or condition previous noted on pre-emp/q

Condition resolved

At work

Risk Assessment on tasks completed, H&S reports all sufficient and satisfactory in terms of suitable control measures to protect employees.

   

My question

Should the individual not have been referred or seen by independent  OP/Specialist to assess/determine if the condition was a work causal or work contributing factor?

I have been asked to attend meeting with individual , union ,solicitor HR, but I have requested more information and should I be attending?

 

Appreciate thoughts/views both in support of individual  and company!
