Before you start to consider 'reasonable adjustment', what are you
adjusting for? If you don't know the cause, then what you do may cost
the employer and achieve nothing, or it might even make the problem
worse. I see this regularly when asked to advise on a suspected
occupational skin problem. Assumptions have been made and action taken
that has actually exacerbated the problem. So until the true cause of
the problem has been identified, how are you going to know what to do?
