The Royal Society: 350 Years of Science
An exhibition marking the Royal Society's 350th anniversary
7 June to 19 November, 2010

Call for volunteers

The Royal Society, the UK's scientific academy, is hosting an exhibition to celebrate its 350th anniversary. The public will be invited to view scientific instruments, portraits, archives, and rare books collected by Royal Society Fellows over the past four centuries, displayed together for the first time at the Society's historic building in Carlton House Terrace, London.

The Society is calling for volunteers to help staff the exhibition. If you are interested in history and could volunteer for one morning or afternoon a week, particularly during the week Monday 28 June to Friday 2 July, we would love to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the history of science in the UK and to hone your public engagement skills. Volunteers will be asked to attend a short training session in the afternoon on Thursday 17 June.
