Hi Erica As far as I'm concerned if these students are registered with you and formally receive an Aston username and password they meet the definition of 'member' of your organisation and are covered under current license deals / shib attributes. It may be interesting to have a conversation with your registrar to see how they view such groups though. The students will be registered with Aston University and will receive a username and password from us, but they will be studying on these collaborative courses from within their own institutions (i.e. we're not talking about a separate Aston campus overseas). I wondered if anyone else has already been through a similar thing and could give me some advice on how you went about setting up access to online resources for the staff and students at partnering institutions: i.e. did you contact each of your online resource providers to ask them where you stood with regard to licensing? did you manage to set something up for the partner institutions using different permissions within Shibboleth?
