Are you currently working towards either Certification, Chartership or Revalidation? Are you interested in learning about Libraries and other information services in different sectors?
Are you interested in Public Libraries and the services they offer their users?

CILIP's Yorkshire and Humberside Division of the Career Development Group have organised a Library awareness visit to Leeds City Council's Garforth Library, on Wednesday 21st July, 10-12pm.

The visit will include a tour of Garforth Library, which has recently reopened after a recent refurbishment funded by a Big Lottery project, a presentation about the innovative community consultation that helped shape the building's services and green technologies and an insight into how Public Libraries meet the learning and information needs of their users.

The visit will give attendees an insight into the different roles of an Information Professional within Public Libraries and an introduction to how Public Library services are provided within a community setting.

Cost

£3.00 for CDG Members / Students / Unemployed

£5.00 for other CILIP Members / Non-Members
