New Geomatics Client Guide
Terrestrial Laser Scanning
This 3rd edition geo client guide has been fully updated from the 2003 original and explains some of the survey issues behind laser scanning and what a client can really expect from this now ubiquitous survey data capture technology.

The Geomatics Professional Group has also revised several of the other client guides including: Map Projection Scale Factor - Avoid the Potential Dangers of Scale Factor; Scale - Avoid Tripping up Over Step Changes in Scale and Reassuringly Accurate - Controlling Accuracy for Better Results.

'Plundered Planet' - RICS hosts Professor Paul Collier Lecture
RICS and Policy Exchange jointly hosted the world renowned economist Paul Collier to discuss international development policymaking. Many of his recommendations, such as professional ethics and anti-corruption enforcement, related to RICS' work, especially on land tenure policy.

RICS Valuer Registration Scheme Update
Read the update on the introduction of a regulatory monitoring scheme for members carrying out valuations under the RICS Red Book. RICS has been working to bring the framework to fruition and we are now able to update members on the details of the scheme -RICS Valuer Registration Scheme.

Environment and Resources - Meet the Board
Following on from a call made earlier this year for new representatives for the Environment and Resources Board, the RICS Knowledge Board has formally ratified the board. The first meeting of new members took place on Tuesday 15 June.
