Recruitment of a Student Mental Health Worker (Full-time, permanent)

We are looking for someone with experience of providing support for people with mental health conditions to take on this new and varied role. Based within the University's Equality Service and working closely with other services, such as the Student Counselling Centre, Student Advice Centre and accommodation wardens, your role will be to work with individual students to ensure that appropriate practical support is in place. This role will also involve delivering presentations to promote good practice across the University in relation to supporting students with mental health conditions.

You should be able to display substantial experience of assessing, monitoring and managing cases of young people with chronic or acute mental health conditions, preferably including young adults, alongside first-hand experience of crisis management in relation to people with mental health conditions.

To ensure that the Service is representative of the wider community, the University would particularly welcome applications from men, black or minority ethnic (BME) and disabled candidates.
