is seeking to appoint a Research
Director (Syria)
The CBRL conducts research in the subject areas supported
by the British Academy. The successful candidate will have completed a
PhD in a relevant subject and will be seeking to develop an active
research interest in Syria. Their duties will include research (50%) and
developing the CBRL’s activities in Syria (50%). The Director will
be based in Damascus where CBRL intends to establish a research
institute.
The post is tenable for three years, subject to successful
completion of an initial six-month probationary period. Salary will start
at £24,023 with free accommodation provided in Damascus.
