Forwarded on behalf of Paula Brikci – please refer any questions or queries to MLA.

Dear Colleagues,

MLA has announced a funding round for Designated Collections held in libraries and archives.

For further information please see the press release at: http://www.mla.gov.uk/news_and_views/press_releases/2010/Designation_archive_and_libraries

This is the first time collections in libraries and archives have the opportunity to apply for MLA funding directly on the basis of their Designated status.

Designation Development Funding will be considered in the context of the MLA’s improvement agenda, as well as seeking to address key priorities indentified by Designated collection holders last summer, culminating in the Designation Scheme Review.  http://www.mla.gov.uk/what/raising_standards/designation/Value_Statement

For further details about this funding opportunity or for information about applying for Designated status, please visit the MLA website.

Many thanks,

Paula Brikci
