Assistant Archivist

Salary: ca. £20,000 per annum

Location: Bicester, Oxon. (initially)

Duration: Fixed term contract for 12 months with a possibility of extension. 36 hours per week.

Following the decision to widen access to its archive by transferring it to a major university, Oxfam is seeking an assistant archivist. The assistant archivist will be part of an important project which aims to fully appraise and catalogue the records of this significant charity which was founded in Oxford in 1942 with the aim to relieve suffering in occupied Europe that went on to become a leader in the movement to end global poverty.

You should have a formal archive qualification and experience appraising and cataloguing complex series of records
