Hi Dom,

If 2 is the condition then 1 is the index of the reconstruction  
(D.var). You can have several reconstructions in the same dataset as  
you might have noticed. The other number doesn't mean anything but  
it's a tag specific to the parameters of the contrast. So if you  
change the parameters (such as frequencies or time window) you'll get  
a different number and the images will not overwrite each other.
