The 4th annual Community Archives conference will be held at University College London on June 16th. Jointly hosted by the Community Archives and Heritage Group and the Department of Information Studies, UCL the theme of this year's conference is 'Sound and Vision: our audio-visual community heritage' and the keynote address will be given by Carole Souter, Chief Executive of the Heritage Lottery Fund. Other speakers will give presentations on the use of film, photographs and oral history in community history and heritage projects and the challenges of digital sustainability for small and independent archives. This conference is free but places are very limited so if you are interested in attending please please book your place as soon as possible.
