Patrick, a catbird is an aberrant bowerbird (aberrant in that it builds no bower), a little larger and much stockier than a domestic pigeon, emerald green with red eyes and scattered white markings, inhabiting eastern Australian rainforests.  Its song resembles a baby crying or cat being run over, and its more usual but lesser known call sounds like a tiny silver hammer.  You can see and hear one at:
