Hi Sian

I'm the Team Leader for a London Trust - this is our pay scales. When we got AfC'd, OH had to fight hard for the gradings. Our HR equivalents (excluding the 8b) are one band higher, as are our therapies staff as they a classed as specialists/practitioners, OHA are not. But then again, ward managers are only Band 7s and they sizeable budgets and a lot more staff than me to look after.

Treatment Nurse/Clinic Nurse - Band 5
Trainee Band 5 if no OH experience
Trainee Band 6 if 2 yrs OH experience and can do straight forward (ish) referrals, needle sticks and H/Qs
Band 6 for qualified and we start their pay point within the Band 6 according to experience
Band 7 for Team Leader with management, policy and divisional responsibilities
Band 8b for the boss - has clinical and business management responsibilities for OH, counselling and back care

Regards

Iain

Dear List

I am doing a benchmarking exercise for OH nurses and OH Technicians salaries. Would anyone be willing to share the salary range or the average salary for the following posts;

OH Technician

Treatment nurse (unfortunately we still provide treatment but working on it)

Trainee OH Adviser

Qualified OH Adviser

Senior OH Adviser (with some sort of line management responsibility, team leader but not overall manager of the OH department)

Have got the NHS bandings and have spoken to a couple of people who advise that their staff are on Band 6 or Band 7. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in anticipation
