Background:

Keats House Museum is one of the sites run by City of London Heritage Services, the others being Guildhall Art Gallery and London Metropolitan Archives. Keats House has registered status as a museum and recently received its accreditation.

Keats House is just coming to the end of a major refurbishment project funded by HLF. A significant part of that project has been the development of new interpretation and learning opportunities and the establishment of community links.

This work is a central part of the ongoing development of this important cultural site and reflects the dedication of the Keats House team in improving and strengthening the experiences of those who already visit the house and opening up opportunities for new visitors. Part of that development is to improve the way in which visual items / collections can be best used, to make sure that there is a solid link between heritage service sites and to ensure high quality activities and outcomes for all visitors and users.

This consultancy is funded by MLA through LAMIP (Local Authority Museums Improvement Programme, which is part of the wider London Cultural Improvement Programme
